Remove a sticker from a photo
Clear stickers, emoji and overlay graphics from a photo and rebuild the image behind them. Remember to include the white outline.
The short version
Stickers and emoji are opaque blobs pasted over the picture, so whatever they covered is genuinely gone from the file. Small stickers over background clear up nicely; a large emoji parked over a face is asking the fill to invent the one thing it is worst at.
How to do it
Drop the photo in.
Paint over the sticker and its white border.
Remove and inspect the result.
Questions
- Can it restore the face under an emoji?
- No. It will generate something face-shaped, but it is invented, not recovered. Treat that result with suspicion.
- Stickers often have a white outline: include it?
- Yes, always. The outline is the most visible part left behind if you miss it.
- Several stickers at once?
- Paint over all of them and remove in one pass. Overlapping selections merge automatically.
- Does it work on screenshots from social apps?
- Yes, and interface backgrounds behind a sticker are usually flat, which makes them easy to rebuild.
