The short version
The cleanup itself runs inside your browser. Separately, a copy of the image you open and of the cleaned result is uploaded to our private storage and kept there. There is no account system.
Images you open in the editor
When you drop an image into the editor, your browser reads the file from your own disk into memory and does the editing locally, using a model your browser has downloaded. The quality of the result does not depend on any server.
A copy of that image, and a copy of the cleaned result, is uploaded to storage we control on Cloudflare R2. The upload goes from your browser straight to that storage using a short-lived, single-purpose link.
Retention. These copies are kept indefinitely. They are not automatically deleted.
Access. The storage bucket is private. It is not published, not linked from anywhere, not indexed, and not shared with third parties. It is reachable by the site operator.
Your choice. If you would rather no copy were kept, do not upload the image here. Because there is no account, we have no way to identify which stored images are yours in order to remove them on request.
What is stored on your device
- The cleanup model. A one-off file of roughly 27MB, kept in your browser’s cache so it does not need downloading again. You can clear it by clearing site data.
- Your advertising choice. A single value recording whether you accepted or declined ads, so we do not ask on every visit.
Both of these live in your browser only and are not transmitted to us. They are separate from the image copies described above, which are uploaded.
Advertising
This site is free and is funded by advertising through Google AdSense. If you accept, Google may set cookies and use them to personalise the ads you see. If you decline, the advertising script is never loaded at all; it is not loaded and then restricted.
You can change your mind at any time by clearing this site’s data in your browser, which resets the choice. Google’s own handling of advertising data is described in its privacy policy and in its advertising technologies pages.
Hosting and server logs
The site is served by Vercel, and the cleanup model may be served from Cloudflare R2. Like effectively all web hosts, these receive standard request information (IP address, timestamp, user agent, and the URL requested) as an unavoidable part of delivering a page. Image uploads described above are stored on Cloudflare R2.
Analytics
We use Vercel Web Analytics to count page views and see which pages people reach. It sets no cookies, stores nothing on your device and does not build a profile of you. Visits are counted using a hash derived from the incoming request that is rotated daily, so the same person is not linkable from one day to the next, and nothing recorded identifies you.
It is aggregate counting rather than tracking: there is no cross-site tracking pixel on this site, and nothing follows you once you leave. The images you open in the editor are never part of it.
Children
This site is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone. Since we collect no personal information at all, this is a statement of fact rather than a policy.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it. Material changes to how advertising works will reset your advertising choice so you are asked again.
